About Kosher Feed

Kosher Feed is a curated feed app for the frum (Orthodox Jewish) community. It shows posts, reels and stories from a hand-approved list of a few hundred Jewish creators (singers, Torah and shiurim, food, comedy, kids, news and more) in one clean feed. Members follow creators and can like, save and comment. Members don’t post, and there are no third-party ads.

Kosher Feed is new and independent, run by David R. It works in any modern browser at kosherfeedapp.com. Native iPhone apps (Kosher Feed, and Kosher Feed Creators for creators) are in development.

How it works

Curated. Only creators the Kosher Feed team has approved by hand appear. Creators can’t sign themselves up.
Official Instagram API, no scraping. Public posts of approved Instagram professional (business or creator) accounts are read through Instagram’s Business Discovery feature. A creator can also connect their own account with Instagram Login. Kosher Feed never logs into anyone’s Instagram account, never asks for an Instagram password, and never posts, comments or sends messages on Instagram.
Private story replies. A member can reply to a creator’s story. Only that member and that creator see the conversation, and it stays inside Kosher Feed.
Creators stay in control. Any creator can ask to be taken off Kosher Feed, and their profile and posts are removed, usually within 2 days. See Data Deletion.

Privacy and security

We don’t sell your data. No third-party ads, no advertising trackers, nothing shared with advertisers. The site loads no third-party analytics or ad scripts.
Every connection uses HTTPS.
Passwords are never stored in plain text. They are kept as salted PBKDF2-SHA256 hashes (100,000 iterations). Sign-in session tokens are stored only as hashes.
New accounts confirm their email with a one-time code.
Instagram access tokens for creators who connect are stored encrypted. Data is stored with hosting providers that encrypt it at rest.
What we store about members: your email, display name and username; the device and time of your sign-ins; who you follow, what you like, save and comment, posts you mark “Not interested” and what you view; and your story replies. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data: delete your account in Settings → Delete account. It’s kept for 30 days in case you change your mind, then removed for good, messages included.
Kosher Feed isn’t meant for children under 13.
Kosher Feed is a new app and hasn’t had an independent security audit.
